The Answers Are In The Questions.

How do we stimulate the economy?  We do it by actively stimulating the economy.  How do we put people back to work?  That is simple, we put them back to work.  Do we wait for tax cuts to the rich to trickle down into jobs?  We do not have time to wait for a program […]

The Other "GULF" In This Country

This is a reply to a reply to one of my blogs.  I made it a blog because it is a response to a number of selfish people in this country.  I hate to think of the world they would wreak if they actually ever get the reins of power.  They would make Brave New […]

Jobs: Have I Got Your Attention Yet?

Probably the most important news this year appeared today in the Op Ed column of Bob Herbert.  He wrote about the need for a serious, long range plan to rebuild the nation’s job force, infrastructure, and manufacturing capabilities before we descend to the level of a third world country.  With the current state of the […]

Berkeley School Board to vote on the proposed REALM charter school: Will faith-based charter schools coupled with oligarch and philanthro-capitalist largess improve public education?

The issue I am about to attempt to analyze is pressing and I call for all of you who wish to protect public education to please contact Yvette Felarca, yfelarca@gmail.com, National coordinator of the By Any Means Necessary coalition at www.bamn.com, (510) 502-9072 to oppose the privatization of Berkeley public schools and to resist the first step towards implementing this plan for privatization by the REALM charter school, scheduled to be approved on February 3, 2010 at the Berkeley Unified School District Meeting.

The REALM charter school, of which I write and that which is the subject of the Berkeley Unified School District’s upcoming decision, will be either approved or disapproved at the February 3, 2010 Berkeley School Board meeting. This is an important opportunity for you, the citizens of Berkeley and beyond, to register your protestations over what, if approved, will steer the course towards the privatization of Berkeley public schools. You can contact school board members and the Mayor of Berkeley by e-mail or phone:

Obama's State of the Union- What he should say…

We are broken.  I figured it out, even before reading Bob Herbert’s column today.  Regardless of the storm that is breaking the backs of state and local governments across the country, California is cutting social programs and salaries in an attempt to stay alive. Mr. Schwarzenegger has proposed eliminating the state’s $1 billion welfare program […]

Obama’s surge

Obama’s surge, will it work?  What a stupid question.  First of all, Bush’s surge didn’t work.  Everyone said it did because he sent over all those troops and the fighting stopped.  Never mind that the Sunnis and Shiites were already driven out of or killed in each of the other’s communities.  Never mind that the […]

Do you ever just get so tired….

I just get so, so tired of re-fighting the same old battles again and again and again with the same old, bigoted, selfish bastards.  They wear me out.  They are relentless. There are two guys fighting same sex marriage.  They say two people who love each other, who happen to be the same sex, tarnish […]
