Protest the Assault on Working People of Wisconsin
“Fascism ought to more properly be called corporatism since it is the merger of the state and corporate power.”
— Benito Mussolini
Wall Street Greed created the depression, why should working people and the middle class be forced to bail the bankers out while their bonuses and incomes rise? Why should we protect the interests of the elite few who now move us closer and closer to an American ‘Weimar, Germany’ moment?
Tale a look at Walker’s letter to teachers. “I love you but will destroy you”! http://millermps.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/walker-letter-to-teachers.pdf
It is time to defend the Common Good from privatization and further canniblization:
We are speaking of our schools, our libraries, our parks and other civic institutions, not to mention any and all pulbic institutions
Defend the democratic right to organize unions and defend the right to collective bargaining which Walker wishes to make illegal
Defend Wisconsin’s progressive traditions and help stop the right wing takeover that pushes us further and further towards corporate fascism
Educators’ Network for Social Justice and The Milwaukee Area United Education Professionals (WEAC affiliates, along with the ACLU have called for, along with other groups, that those who can get to Wisconsin or live in the state mobilize on Tuesday, Feb 15th at 5:30 PM – 6:30
There will be a candle light vigil/picket in front of Governor Scott Walker’s last known place of residence in Milwaukee County
Gather 5:15 – 5:30 at Wisconsin State AFL-CIO Office, 6333 W. Bluemound Road

This is in solidarity with the rally and vigil that will take place at the same time at the State Capitol in Madison. If you can go to Madison, please do, but let’s show opposition to Walker’s plan here in Milwaukee as well.
