Funny?  It wasn’t meant to be.  I wrote a short time ago that the drug companies may well have engineered the vaccine shortage to discredit Obama.  Then two days ago I read that only one in three people needing the vaccine in this country are able to get it.  I have called the health department and my doctor I was told they either didn’t have enough or they didn’t have it at all. Turns out I was calling the wrong people.  I should have been asking my investment banker.  Maybe my doctor and the health department would have had enough if Big Pharma wasn’t secretly sending it to their friends.

Poll: One-third can find, get swine flu vaccine

By MIKE STOBBE, AP Medical Writer

ATLANTA – Only about a third of adults who have tried to get a swine flu vaccine have been able to get it, according to a new national poll.

That’s true even for people are at extra risk for severe complications and should be at the front of the line.

Goldman Sachs, Citigroup got swine flu vaccine

By KAREN MATTHEWS, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK – Some of New York’s biggest companies, including Wall Street giants Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, received doses of swine flu vaccine for at-risk employees, drawing criticism that the hard-to-find vaccine is going first to the privileged.

Where is the FRACKING OUTRAGE?  I am ready to draw blood and I don’t mean phlebotomy.  Then I read crap in the New York Times like this, this morning…

Official Endorses Workplace Clinics for Vaccine Distribution

By DONALD G. McNEIL Jr.

…Dr. Anne Schuchat of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, was responding to a furor caused by the revelation that the employee health departments of some big Wall Street banks, including Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, had received small shipments of vaccine — while pediatricians, clinics and major hospitals waited for their full allotments.

“There’s nothing wrong with an employer-based clinic,” Dr. Schuchat said. “When you look at adults and where they get vaccinated, it’s a common place. It’s convenient.”

Small shipments of vaccine she says?  From the end of the article on Goldman Sachs & Morgan Stanley secretly getting the vaccine was this…

Morgan Stanley received 1,000 doses of the vaccine for its New York and suburban offices, but the company turned over its entire supply to local hospitals when it learned it received shipments before some area hospitals, spokeswoman Jeanmarie McFadden said.

1,000 doses for its New York and suburban offices does not sound like it was meant exclusively for their high risk employees nor does it sound like a small shipment.  Convenient?  Convenience is getting my vaccine from my doctor.

ARE YOU PISSED YET?  What the hell does it take?  It is time to take it to the streets.  If Michele Bachman can rally a few republican tea baggers, then we should be able to tell Washington what we really want.  We need to text and twitter and by whatever means possible, start massing in Washington to show support for the Public Option and to bring the corporate frackers down.
