This March shocking new details have been revealed about George W. Bush and his legal council John Yoo’s memos outlining the destruction of the United States Republic. The memos laid the foundation for the President to order the military to wage war against the US population and to rewrite of the US Constitution. Constitutional scholar Michael Ratner describes in an interview that what Bush and his cronies were proposing was ‘Law by Fiat’ or the ‘Fuhrer’s Law’ of Nazi Germany. The First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments to the Constitution were to be taken away. There was to be no restrictions to the military operating on American soil, and Congress would have no say concerning Bush’s new dictatorial powers to declare any US citizen he wanted an ‘enemy combatant.’ The mainstream media has ignored these revelations. With the US economy in tatters and the rise of People’s activism exampled by events like the militant student protests campus take over at NYU, what’s to stop President Obama from utilizing these secret plans? The Bush/Yoo memos beg the question in the mind of this author: has there ever been an act of treason against the people of the United States more threatening than these Presidential instructions besides maybe the Bush attacks on NYC and the Pentagon on 911 themselves or the possible White House mailing of anthrax to Congress and journalists? The military now has the authority to raid every congressional office, raid and search every home, and detain tens of thousands.
