I received the following from Blackwater representatives regarding the story I posted on Blackwater contracting with Verizon for security services.  Seems that this story is false and Daily Kos, The Examiner on line, democraticunderground, and other alternative media sites have pulled the story.  Thus, in the interest of journalistic integrity this story is now erased from Dailycensored and an apology goes out to readers.

In this highly toxic media world we live in false stories often are the norm.  Apologies given to all readers.  Here is the correspondence from Blackwater (Xe).

Readers can still support Verizon workers by both signing a petition at http://www.cwa-union.org/pages/join_verizon_wireless_picket and appearing on picket lines with workers.

Hi Danny,

I am following up on an email I sent to the editor of the Daily Censored yesterday. On behalf of Xe Services, I wanted to inform you that the story you featured here; http://dailycensored.com/2011/08/18/verizon-corporation-hires-blackwater-xe-as-security-to-break-striking-workers/, is completely erroneous. The original source, the Daily Kos, which you cite, has retracted the story and we would very much appreciate it if you would do the same.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Britt Beringer
