Here is how I see the court stacking up. Inveterate right wingers: Scalia, Thomas, Alito, Roberts. Reliable right winger: Kennedy. That's five and worrying about the rest is of little use, I'm afraid. I have no idea why Kennedy votes the way he does other than he's on some incentive plan. But they'll call the tune. That's why I think Ginsburg went for the throat with her questioning of Olson. It's a pretty heavy burden to officially invite foreign money into the USA. But they'll figure out a way.

There's no reason why this move by the court should even be considered. It's time to get rid of the five nihilists or appoint extra justices. It's allowed and about time.

In point of fact, we've lost our freedom and constitutional rights long ago when the corporate media started managing the news. We're at about 60 years an counting worth of selective truth, non stop lies, and critical omissions. Yet the public retains enough wisdom to get it right, at least until the fear mongering starts.

"the right wing majority on the court, which includes Sotomayor by the way, will most likely lift any restriction on corporate contributions."

Didn't you read the remarkable comment by her on her maiden flight on the SOTUS bench, (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125314088285517643.html)

Judges "created corporations as persons, gave birth to corporations as persons," she said. "There could be an argument made that that was the court's error to start with...[imbuing] a creature of state law with human characteristics."

After a confirmation process that revealed little of her legal philosophy, the remark offered an early hint of the direction Justice Sotomayor might want to take the court.

"Progressives who think that corporations already have an unduly large influence on policy in the United States have to feel reassured that this was one of [her] first questions," said Douglas Kendall, president of the liberal Constitutional Accountability Center.

Great article. It is time for the U.S. Supreme Court to recognize what is obvious to every person with half of a brain, a corporation is not a person, and therefore, it is not entitled to the same rights as an individual.

Unfortunately, once again, the right wing majority on the court, which includes Sotomayor by the way, will most likely lift any restriction on corporate contributions. After all, they have to protect the rights of the rich and powerful.

If you have wondered why the government passes laws that virtually everyone opposes, like the bank bailout, and why the government refuses to investigate and prosecute obvious crimes, like torture and murder, check out Why Does the Government Ignore Our Wishes? at http://dailycensored.com/2009/09/11/why-does-the-government-ignore-our-wishes/ and don’t miss my 18 minute speech.

If you take a look, you’ll learn why they get away with these horrible crimes. My article on torture includes a link to the U.S. Supreme Court case which explains how one of our stolen rights makes the difference between justice and injustice, between freedom and slavery.
