More fuel for the fire - http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/03/31/inmate.sex/
Former Alabama judge indicted on inmate sex charges

"(CNN) -- A former south Alabama judge is accused of checking male inmates out of jail and forcing them to engage in sexual activity including paddling, according to officials and court documents. . .Former Mobile County Circuit Judge Herman Thomas denies all the charges, his attorney says. . . The indictments total 57 counts, and the charges range from ethics violations to kidnapping, extortion, sex abuse and sodomy. If convicted on the most serious charge -- kidnapping, a Class A felony -- Thomas faces a prison sentence of 10 to 99 years in prison, Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Jr. said Monday."

Most definitely, this abuse could easily be stopped, but it isn’t because it is used as a form of control. It’s used to make it clear to you that you have no power and can be abused by those with power.

Remember, most of the abuse is committed by "law" enforcement within the first few hours after arrest. For instance, if you can't make bail right away and will be held over night, you will be strip searched in most jails even without probable cause that you have a weapon or banned substances, and if you complain about it, you will probably be beaten and get a body cavity search, too. Of course, if you happen to be a pretty young woman, you almost certainly will be subjected to a strip search and a body cavity search.

As Hope Steffey experienced, if you are arrested without cause and you are complaining about it, then you will almost certainly be abused. This is to remind you that they are in charge and that they are able to do anything to you. Sometimes it is an illegal "strip search" conducted by members of the opposite sex while a crowd watches, and sometimes an inmate is sent by jail staff to do the dirty work.

In fact, just like in the movie Crash, some members of “law” enforcement will conduct strip searches and body cavity searches in public without even arresting you! Of course, such acts are clearly rape, but the prosecuting princes protect their thugs virtually all of the time. For example, a few years ago in Pensacola, Florida, a cop performed a strip search and body cavity search on two 15 year old girls who were passengers in a car that he had pulled over. He did it in front of several officers that he called to watch. Instead of being fired and prosecuted, he was promoted even though the Sheriff’s department paid an undisclosed sum to settle the lawsuit brought against it by the girls.

Concerning prison rape, I've heard that the jailers in Europe and Canada don't allow it, and that conditions are different in those prisons. In the United States it seems authorities encourage rape of inmates by other prisoners, and that it is sometimes secretly ordered by authorities as a form of control. Is that true?

Way to go, Bill. Spread the news. Our means to control the government have been stolen, and as a result, we are treated like slaves! If the masses knew what was going on and that a government of, by, and for the people no longer existed in the U.S. A., they might demand real change!

Also, don't forget that Congress admitted that most of the beatings, sexual assaults, and rapes, also known as torture, occur within the first 48 hours of being taken into custody, and of course, no one has been convicted of anything within 48 hours of being arrested and jailed.

This article really hits the ball out of the park Mark. I was upset for hours after read the details and many of the facts in your writing I posted to others on my email list and on Usenet. Your details of rape and abuse by law enforcement, even a judge (!) and the brutal conditions of US prisons reveal what this system is about and what this country is becoming.
